Marsha Perkins Glackman Obituary


Marsha J. Perkins Glackman, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021
at MHP Medical Center.
Born January 18, 1951 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of James Rouse and Myrtle
(Kincade) Rouse.  She married Gerald Glackman on February 14, 1991 and he survives.
Other survivors include 2 children- Michael L. Perkins (wife Becca) of Shelbyville, a daughter-
Michelle Hurley (husband Hobert) of Shelbyville; a sisters- Karen McClendon (husband Jim)
of Ladson, South Carolina: 4 grandchildren- Jani, Koal, Kade, and Dru; and is survived by a
host of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister- Vivian Bennett.
Mrs. Glackman had lived most of her lifetime in this area, and attended Shelbyville High School.
She     had been a factory worker at Overhead Door Corp. and Meredian Automotive for many years,
and more recently had been employed at Backstretch Cafe at the casino for 6 years.  She was a
member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Since her retirement, Marsha devoted her life to helping and caring for others.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.  Friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00 am until the 
time of the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
