Michael H. "Mike" Yarling, 86, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019 at
Morristown Manor.
Born November 5, 1933 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Michael H. Yarling and Marlene
(Fuller) Yarling.
Survivors include 2 daughters- Ana Campbell (husband Bruce) of Shelbyville, Kizme Burns
(husband Jeffrey) of Shelbyville; 2 brothers- Bill Yarling (wife Donna) of Shelbyville, Mark
Yarling of Greenwood; 2 sisters- Nancy Beck (husband Mark) of Boggstown, Brenda Chaney
(husband Doyle) of Shelbyville; 4 grandchildren- Brady Campbell (wife Heidi), Natalie Lux
(husband Travis), KayDee Baird (husband Joey), Randee Vierling; and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Yantiss Sprecklemeyer, and a brother
Raymond Yarling.
Mr. Yarling had lived in this area for 12 years, after moving from Florida. He graduated from
Waldron High School, and was self employed his entire working career. He was a member of
American Legion Post #70 and served in the Indiana National Guard.
Mike loved woodworking and building grandfather clocks. He was a jack-of-all-trades and
could fix anything. He enjoyed cars and anything with wheels. He also loved the years he
spent in Florida, and enjoyed growing up on the family farm on Blue Ridge Road.
A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Glenn E. George
& Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Bill Horner officiating. Friends may call
on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 pm until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
