Nina Charlene Taylor, 82, of Waldron, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020 at her residence.
Born March 26, 1938 in Henry County, she was the daughter of Elbert Holbrook and Nelle (Bruner)
Holbrook. She married Robert O. Taylor on September 5, 1959 and he survives.
Other survivors include a son Charlie Taylor (wife Randee) of Shelbyville; 3 grandchildren- Gregory
Taylor (wife Katie), Lauren Taylor, and Kristen Taylor. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother John Rohlfing.
Mrs. Taylor was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Indian Creek Christian Church. She graduated
from Waldron High School in 1956, from Franklin College with a Bachelor's Degree, and Butler University, where
she earned her Master's Degree in guidance. She was a member of the Peruvian Paso Horse Club, and a
former member of the Red Hat Society. She had been a school teacher at Waldron High School, Jackson
Township High School, North Decatur High School, and Southwestern High School for 45 years, retiring in 2006.
Nina enjoyed horses and trail riding, teaching and working with her students, and dining out. She loved her church
and attending church activities, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos
Road, with Pastor Eric Denney officiating. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday
evening, October 8, 2020 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
