Norma (June) Chancy Obituary


Norma (June) Chancy, 69, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021
at MHP Medical Center.
Born October 26, 1951 in Somerset, KY, she was the daughter of Roy
 and Dorothy Phelps. She married Victor Chancy and they were happily
married for 53 years.
Other survivors include children- Diane Woodall of Shelbyville, Shawn (April)
Chancy of Shelbyville; siblings- Glenda Girdler, Denver Phelps, David Phelps, Danny Phelps, Raymond Phelps,
Allen Phelps, Dale Phelps; grandchildren-Kyra Woodall, Nicholas
Aulby, Tyler James Aulby; great-grandchildren Bentley & Arabella. She was loved
by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Chancy had lived in this are most of her life after previously moving from Kentucky.
She was a homemaker, attended Shelbyville Community Church and worked at
Continental Kitchen for several years. June loved to cook, gardening, cookouts, camping
and fishing. She loved her dog Eli Mae, but most of all loved spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 2:00pm at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Rev. Craig Olson officiating.  Friends may call on
Saturday, from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Lewis Creek Cemetery in Shelby County
and will follow the funeral service.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association
in care of the funeral home.
