Paul Francis Zinser, 70, of St. Paul, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020
at his residence.
Born May 8, 1949 in Shelbyville, he was the son of John Francis Zinser and
Alice Mae (Worland) Zinser. He married Linda A. (Slater) Zinser on May 1, 1999
and she survives.
Other survivors include a stepson Stephen R. Bartels of Eckerty, Tennessee;
2 step grandchildren- Stephen J. "SJ" Bartels (fiancé Jonnie Combs) of Evansville,
James "Alex" Bartels of Evansville; one step great grandchild- Stephen William
"Will" Bartels of Evansville; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including
Mary Jo Rife (husband Larry) of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Zinser was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Waldron High School
in 1967. He worked for Coca Cola for 41 years as a service tech/warehouse/service
manager, and with Seneca Medical of Shelbyville in the warehouse for 5 years. He was
a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship where he served as deacon for many years.
Paul loved farming, gardening, his dog Murphy, his wife unconditionally, his Lord and Savior,
whom he loved to worship, shooting black powder, and was almost a good fisherman.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Brandon Sutton officiating, assisted by Pastor
George Mitchell. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home
on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.
