Phyllis J. White, 90, former Manilla resident, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Maple Park Village in Westfield.
Born March 18, 1930 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Lawrence & Lulu (Branson) Krammes.
She married Lee White on August 11, 1957 and he preceded her on January 8, 2018.
Other survivors include daughter Lisa Evans-Powers (husband Mark) of Sheridan; grandchildren- Sara
Akles (husband Jonathan) of Wilkinson, Ryan Evans (wife Michaela) of Wilkinson, Kari Evans of Sheridan;
and 2 great grand children Tucker & Melanie Akles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and sister Marceile Davis.
Mrs. White was a lifetime resident of Manilla and graduated from Milroy High School in 1948. Phyllis
was a bank teller for 13 years at Rushville National Bank and a bookkeeper at Rays Crossing
Grain Co. for many years. She attended Manilla Christian Church and was a member of
Walker Township Homemaker's Club.
Phyllis loved music, she played the piano at her church for many years, shopping, and attending
her grandchildren's sporting events.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, July 27, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Rd. Friends may call on Monday from 11:00 am until
the time of the service. Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Association in care of the funeral home.
