Richard Leclercq Obituary


Richard Russell Leclercq, 58, of Edinburgh, passed away on 
December 3, 2021 at his residence.
Born December 3, 1963, in Chicago, IL., he was the son of Richard A. Leclercq
and Shirley A. (Kurnat) Leclercq. He married Cynthia (Sopher)
Leclercq in 2011 and as of December 20th will have been together for 30 years.
Survivors include spouse Cynthia Leclercq of Edinburgh; children-
Samantha, Peanut, Michael, Richard, Kyle, Natalie; siblings-
Ronald A. Leclercq of Chicago, Kim Rusnak (husband William) of Chicago, 
Danielle Leclercq; mother in law Anita Sopher of Edinburgh, and
was a loving uncle to many nieces & nephews and many great nieces and
great nephews; and 1 grandcat "Slick".
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Leclercq had lived in this area for 20 years after previously living
in Chicago, Illinois. He was a self employed roofer for 20 plus years
and a member of St. Andrews Church in Illinois. Richard enjoyed
watching football, spending time with his family, taking Chi-town
trips, and good food.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, December 9, 2021
at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with 
Rev. David Humphrey officiating. Burial will be in Whispering
Hope Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 11:00 am
until the time of the service at the funeral home.
