Robert Thomas "Bob" Gobel

Robert Thomas "Bob" Gobel, 72, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021
at his residence.
Born October 19, 1948, he was the son of Samuel Thomas Gobel and Mary Elizabeth
(Hamilton) Gobel.
He is survived by his sisters- Martha Ellen Burns of Shelbyville, and Sharon Kay Hancook 
of Greenwood; nephew James Dunagan; nieces Rea Gray, Janet Drake, Lisa Bippus; and
many great nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Donna
Jean Watson; brothers- in-law Donald Burns, Vernon Watson, Ronald Hancook; and one
niece Peggy Hash 
Bob graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1966.  He was employed as a production 
worker at Williams Industries for several years.  He was a US Army veteran.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Harvey Taylor officiating.  Burial will be in 
Forest Hill Cemetery.
