Robert E. "Bob" Robinson

Robert E. "Bob" Robinson, 81, of Manilla, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at IU Methodist Hospital.

Born December 22, 1940 in Rushville, he was the son of James R. Robinson and Eva (McDaniel) Robinson.  He married Diana (Brown) Robinson on June 4, 1951 and she survives.

Other survivors include 2 daughters- Teresa McNeely of Fountaintown, Tammy McColley (husband Tony) of Shelbyville; a sister- Sally Gulley (husband Gary) of Manilla; 5 grandchildren-Drew McNeely (wife Ashley), Brittany McNeely, Kassandra McNeely-Donaldson (husband Frank), Chase McColley, Hannah McColley; 7 great grandchildren- Jackson, Jordan, Juliette, Zendaya,
Zayleigh, Maddox, and Jayden.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother- Jimmy Robinson, sister Patty Robinson, son-in-law Patrick McNeely, and granddaughter- Kayla McColley.

Mr. Robinson was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Rushville High School in 1959.  He retired from Allison Transmisson after 28 years of service.  He attended the First Church of the Nazarene, was a member of Masonic Lodge #62, and was a life member of Manilla Volunteer Fire Department. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, bowling, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Steve Bohall officiating.  Friends may call on Saturday morning November 19, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Manilla Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Bob's name to Manilla Volunteer Fire Department, in care of the funeral home.
