Rona Rogers Obituary


Rona Jo Rogers, 50, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at OUR Hospice Inpatient Facility.

Born December 17, 1971 in Rockwood Tennessee, she was the daughter of William and Barbara (Williams) Taylor.  She married Michael L. Rogers Sr. on August 16, 2008 and he survives.

Other survivors include 2 sons- Zachary Peters of Shelbyville, Austin Hutton of Shelbyville; stepson Michael Rogers Jr. (wife Tabby) of Waldron, stepdaughter 
Diana Rogers of Waldron; 1 brother Harold "Doug" Taylor (wife Diane) of Kentucky, 2 sisters- Cozetta Elliott (husband Steve) of Greenwood, Deborah Hensley (husband Don)
 of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren- Hayden, Alexis, Laynee, Blayne, Alliyah, Julian, Ashton, Braxton; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents,
a daughter Ashley Heise, a brother William "Billy" Taylor, and sister Okeema Lee (Taylor).

Mrs. Rogers had lived in this area for most of her lifetime, and attended Shelbyville High
School.  She was a home maker. Rona enjoyed gardening, crafting, the outdoors, animals, and spending time with her grandkids.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating.  Burial will be in
Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call on Monday morning, January 17, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of the service, at the funeral home. 
Memorial contributions can be made to ASCPA, in care of the funeral home.
