Ronald D. "Ron" Burton, 77, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Franciscan Health Center, Indianapolis. Born December 13, 1942, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Dennis Burton and Ona Mae Denney. He married Joyce (Lollar) Burton on August 20, 1971, and she survives.
Other survivors include son, Troy A. King (wife Judy) of Shelbyville; daughter Emily Fannin of Shelbyville; brother Edward Burton of Bradenton, Florida; 3 grandchildren, Kayla (Adam) Robison, Karissa (Candis) King, and Emma Shepard; 4 greatgrandchildren, Dillen, Aiden, and Thea Robison, and Ona Mae Gaskins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Burton was a lifelong Shelbyville resident. He graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1961. He retired in 2003, after 30 years of service, from Allison division of GM.
A private family service is planned.
