Sarah Gahimer Obituary


Sarah H. "Hilda" Gahimer, 87 of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, 
June 29, 2021 at her residence.
Born June 28, 1934 in Greene County, Indiana, she was the daughter
of James Achors & Eliza Jane (Mowery) Achors. She married Laurel
Parker on May 20, 1949 and he preceded her in January 1979. She 
then married Norman Gahimer on June 29, 1991 and he preceded
her on May 4, 2017.
Survivors include daughter- Susan Waters of Shelbyville; sister- Cora
Cutsinger of Shelbyville; several grandchildren, and several great-grand
children. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 spouses, 2 sons-
Phillip E. "Ed" Parker & Charles E. "Chuck" Parker, several brothers
and 2 sisters.
Hilda lived in this area her entire lifetime and attended Bloomfield High
School. She had been employed with Western Electric  for 25
years and attended a Wesleyan Church after she married Norman, and
before that had  attended the Nazarene Church from 1957 until 1991.
Hilda loved attending church and church activities, and spending time
with her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 3, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son
Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Don Neal officiating. Burial
will be in Boggstown Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, July 2, 2021
at the funeral home from 4:00-8:00 pm. Memorial contributions can be 
made to Kindred Hospice in care of the funeral home.
