Sarah J. Suiter

Sarah J. Suiter, 97, of Shelbyville, passed away August 30, 2021 at Ashford Place Health Campus.
Born September 27, 1923, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Charles E. Whipple and Elva (Kuhn) Whipple.
Survivors include 2 sons: Gary Suiter (wife Vicki) of Homer and Donald Suiter (wife Lois) of Shelbyville; 1 daughter, Risa Smith (husband Gerald)
of Norman, IN and a daughter-in-law Kim Suiter of Florence, KY. She also is survived by 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
 She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons, Michael and Tony Suiter, and several brothers and sisters.
Sarah was a lifelong resident of this area and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1941.  She was a supervisor at KCL 
Corporation retiring after  30 years of service. She was a member of West Street United Methodist Church. Sarah enjoyed sewing and needlework, crafts, working puzzles
and word searches.  
Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road in Shelbyville with
Pastor Robert Keck officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10:00 am until time of the service. 
Memorial contributions can be made to  West Street United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
