Sharon Kaye Griffith

Sharon Kaye Griffith, 78, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023 at her residence.

Born June 2, 1944 in Greensburg, she was the daughter of Dellie W. Roberts and Edith (Jackson) Woods. She married Michael "Mike" Griffith on September 6, 1980 and he preceded her on July 28, 2021.

Survivors include son Jon Fox; stepdaughter Heather Davidson (Bradley) of Massachusetts; 2 brothers Donnie Roberts (Marge) of Morristown, Paul Woods (Betty) of Indianapolis; sister Carol Larrabee; 3 grandchildren Hadley Davidson, Teagan Davidson, Christopher Fox; and 1 great grandchild Nyles Davidson. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse Mike, 4 sisters Betty Robbins, Ginny Weewee, Dorothy Abrams and Ruby Jane Riggs.

Mrs. Griffith had lived in this area for several years after moving from Columbus. She was a self-employed hairdresser for many years and graduated from Morristown High School in 1962. Sharon enjoyed diamond art, shopping, traveling to Florida, and dearly loved her special dog Bella.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Friday, May 5, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.   Burial will be in Lewis Creek Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday morning, from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
