Sharon Marshall Obituary

Sharon K. Marshall, 77, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023 at MHP Medical Center.

Born November 26, 1945 in Bloomington, Illinois, she was the daughter of Malcolm Ashbrook and Loretta (Ray) Ashbrook.  She married Larry G. Marshall on April 1, 1966 and he preceded her on November 2, 1996.

Survivors include 3 children- son Jeffrey Marshall (wife Joan) of Greenwood, 2 daughters Michelle Roland (husband Eric) of Morristown, Kimberly Willis of Anderson; a brother Fred Ashbrook of Indianapolis, a sister Thelma Richards of Bedford; 5 grandchildren- Anthony Jones, Amanda Ducote, Christopher Moore, Josh Willis, Shaina Birkemeyer; and one great grandchild-Journee Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Marshall had lived in this area for most of her lifetime, and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1964.  She was a home maker, and also a member of Beacon Baptist  Church, and American Legion Post #70. Sharon enjoyed hanging out with friends, dancing at the American Legion, and spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Larry Wheat officiating.  Burial will be in Miller Cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday morning, at the funeral home, from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
