Sharon Talbert Obituary


Sharon Kay (Craig) Talbert, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020
at Franklin Meadows.
Born May 27, 1937 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Voris Craig and Edith (McClure)
Craig.  She married Howard E. Talbert on November 19, 1960 and he preceded her on May 1, 2008.
Survivors include 4 sons- Steven Talbert, Brian Talbert, Michael Talbert, and Tony Talbert, all of Shelbyville,
and one grandson Caleb Talbert.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her spouse.
Mrs. Talbert was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1955.  She
had been employed as a door greeter at Wal Mart for 15 years, and had previously  been employed as an
office worker at General Electric for several years, where she met her husband Howard while employed there.
Sharon enjoyed playing bingo, cats, flowers, watching the Chase on TV, attending functions at Shelby Senior
Center, and listening for the Statler Brothers sing.  Her favorite song was "I'll Fly Away".
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437
Amos Road, with Rev. Harvey Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.  Friends may call on
Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby Senior Citizens, in care of the funeral home.
