Shirley Dean Stafford, 76, of St. Paul, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020
at his residence.
Born January 7,1944 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Paul L. Stafford and
Mary (Baker) Stafford.
Survivors include children Daria Stafford of Indianapolis; Duncan Gorrell (wife
Denise) of Haslet, TX; brother John Stafford (wife Phyllis) of Vevay, sister
Norvella Miller (husband Mike) of Hope; and grandchild Christian Gorrell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Stafford.
Mr. Stafford was a lifetime resident of St. Paul and had graduated from
Waldron High School in 1964. He was co-owner of Hidden Paradise Campground
for several years and had been a machinist/tool and die maker for
several local factories including Crouch Industries for many years.
Dean was a US Navy veteran serving in Vietnam.
Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, restoring antique tractors, tinkering
and fixing things, and playing poker with his friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 from
4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the St. Paul Tavern.
