Terri Lynn Tugan, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away peacefully, on Sunday morning,
surrounded by her family, at IU Methodist Hospital.
Born June 30, 1951 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Max D. Brott and Dorothy M.
(Tansy) Brott. She married James K. "Honey" Tugan on June 14, 1969 and he survives.
Other survivors include 3 sons- James K. Tugan II (wife Karla) of Greenwood, Jeffrey D.
Tugan (wife Linda Sue) of Salt Lake City, Utah, Michael A. Tugan (wife Linda Kay) of
Martinsville; 3 siblings- Dale E. Brott (wife Priscilla) of Acworth Georgia, G. Jean Elamon of
Avon, Bruce W. Brott (wife Rose) of Adairsville, Georgia; 10 grandchildren- Becca, Noah, Nathan,
Braden, Dylan, Annalise, Aaron, Emily, Max, and Lucas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Tugan had lived in this area for 45 years, after moving from Indianapolis. She was a teacher's
assistant at Shelbyville Middle School for 10 years and had operated day care from her home for
over 30 years. She graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1969 and was a member of Town
& Country Christian Church,.
Terri enjoyed crocheting and sewing, crafts, reading, traveling, practical jokes, and her Bible Study
Group. She loved children, interacting with them, and dearly loved her grandchildren, and the time
she spent with them.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Town & Country Christian Church,
2133 Tucker Road, with Pastor Ian Farnsley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends
may call on Saturday morning from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
