Terry Tucker Obituary


Terry Ann Tucker, 63, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday October 9, 2021 at AMG Specialty
Hospital in Greenfield.
Born November 30, 1957 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Lewis Rexford "Rex" Avery
and Norma Elaine (Nail) Avery.  She married Wayne A. Tucker on June 16, 1979 and he survives.
Other survivors include a son Derek A. Tucker (wife Kristi) of Indianapolis, a daughter Dana M. Ball
(husband Dustin) of North Vernon; brother Gary Avery (wife Linda) of Shelbyville, sister Christine
Lohrum (husband Les) of Versailles; a nephew Jared Avery (wife Natalie) of Florida; and 3 grandchildren- 
Peyton Ball, Paige Ball, and Lily Tucker.  She was preceded in death by her parents and niece Skyler Avery.
Mrs. Tucker was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from North Decatur High School in 1976.
She had been employed as pharmacy dept. manager at Walmart for 35 years, retiring in 2020.  She was
a member of St. Paul Christian Church.
Terry enjoyed playing bingo and cards, traveling, going to the beach, and hanging out with friends.  Her 
life revolved around her family and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am on Saturday October 16, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with Pastor Bill Horner officiating.  Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.  Friends may call 
on Friday evening, October 15, 2021 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
