Terry VanSickle Obituary


Terry A. VanSickle, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 at
his residence.
Born April 15, 1953 in Rushville, he was the son of Robert and Ruby (Finnsey)
VanSickle.  He married Mary (Dile)  VanSickle on May 11, 1985 and she survives.
Other survivors include his father-in-law Perry Furgeson of Shelbyville; a brother
Milke VanSickle (wife Barbara) of Rushville; brother-in-law Scott Furgeson (wife
Susan) of Shelbyville; sister-in-law Lora Furgeson; 4 nieces and 4 great nieces. He
was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. VanSickle had lived in this area for most of his lifetime, and graduated from
Rushville Consolidated High School in 1972.  He worked in the grocery business
for 45 years, retiring from the Kroger Co.  He was a member of Sons of American
Legion, and a past member of the Moose and Eagles Lodge.
Terry loved watching John Wayne Westerns and traveling.  He was an avid NASCAR 
fan, and enjoyed attending  the race at Talladega.  The family would like to send a special thanks 
to the Bakker family for their love and support. 
Graveside services will be 10:00 am on Monday, May 3, 2021 at Miller Cemetery, 
  Friends may call on Sunday evening, May 2, 2021 from
4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Shelbyville/Shelby Co. Animal Shelter, in 
care of the funeral home.
