Violet Annabelle Williamson, 89, of Freedom, Indiana, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 at her son's residence.
Born March 6, 1934 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of John E. Meyer and Muriel M. Myer. She married Samuel H. WIlliamson on June 10, 1952 and he survives.
Other survivors include 2 children- Mary Games (William) of Fairland, Bruce Williamson (Connie) of Freedom; 4 siblings- Rosmond Owens of Chillicothe, MO, Carolyn Crafton of Fairland, Kenneth Myers and Donald Myer both of Shelbyville; 8 grandchildren- Tonya, Daniel, Derrick, Jacob, Travis, Christopher, Tristan, & Anthony; and10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers and sisters- Ester Ellison, Haskell Myer, Maxine Batterson, and John Myer Jr.
Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker and had lived in Freedom for 2 years after previously moving from Shelbyville. She graduated from Morristown High School and was a member of Spencer Seventh Day Adventist Church. Annabelle played the piano, accordian, and organ for the Shelbyville Seventh Day Church and also for several churches and nursing homes in this area.
Funeral services will be 6:00 pm, Friday, August 11, 2023 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Pastor Samuel Ngala officiating. Friends may call on Friday afternoon from 4:00 pm until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hanover Cemetery.
