Wangyo Mun

Wangyo Mun, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, September 16, 2022 at his home.

 He was born  January 2, 1940 in Seoul, South Korea.  He later married Poongduck (Chung) and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include 3 children- daughter SukHee Leach of Greenwood, 2 sons- Daniel Mun (wife Kyung Hee) of Indianapolis, Roy Mun (wife HeeJung) of Shelbyville; 6 grandchildren- Ashley Leach of Indianapolis, Dane Leach of Avon, Lydia Mun of Indianapolis, Heidi Mun, Rudy Mun, & Kailey Mun, all of Shelbyville; 5 great grandchildren- Bianca Leach, Lucian Bridgers, Emma Leach, Ori Ballenger, Cylen O. Mun; and 6 brothers and 1 sister living in South Korea.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister.

Mr. Mun was  self employed in the knitting business in Korea, and graduated high school in Korea. He attended the First Korean United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.  He had lived in the United States for 33 years.

Private funeral services will be held at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Gi-Chae Lee officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
